This is a Full-Time role, Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts starting between 6:00am – 8:00am- Wages are based on experience
- Previous experience is not required, we are willing to train the right candidate with a great attitude towards learning the business
- All specialty training provided - (Cranes, Forklifts, OFA, CNC Operators and much more)
- Must have reliable transportation – Not located near public transit
RESPONSIBILITIES
Become part of the team by communicating positively with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisor- Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
- Loading and unloading glass will require crane operation and/or manual lifting
- Ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and review specifications for machine adjustments
- Set up machines to have the correct specifications for glass orders
- Sort and load glass on to equipment for completion while maintaining all safety policies and procedures
- Inspect finished product for dimensions, quality finish and thickness and reject not within acceptable quality tolerance level
- Encompass best practices in all aspects of safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all corporate safety policies while operating company machinery
- Maintain and operate equipment to ensure continuous plant production
- Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department
QUALIFICATIONS
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout their shift and a maximum of 75 lbs. on occasion with assistance- Enjoys working in a team-based environment with a positive attitude
- Multitasking capabilities and responsive to changing priorities
- Must have reliable transportation **located in Gloucester Industrial Park**
- Mechanically inclined an asset
- Basic understanding of English
- Prefer one or more years of metal, granite, stone or glass fabrication experience
- Prefer Crane certification
